By a beginner, for beginners.

Tarot cards can be a mystical, engaging way to broaden spiritual horizons spiritually. Or, psychologically as well.

I’ve used tarot readings not just to get more in tune with my spirits, but also as a self-reflection tool. There’s a lot you can do with them, really!

There can be some daunting aspects when it comes to readings, though. To help with that, here are some basic tips that I used myself to help get me started.

It’s a tall order to work with a tarot deck. There are 78 cards, each with its own nuances. Even if you know Cups symbolize water, emotions, intuition, and feminine energies…well, there are still different overall meanings with, say, 2 of Cups and 5 of Cups.

If you’re feeling bad over having to constantly use guidebooks and online sites, don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re trying to get around 78 cards! That’s not easy to do.

And that’s not even adding in things like reversals (upside-down cards) and any other complex mechanics individual decks may have.

One thing that can also help is working with the same deck over and over. This can help you get used to…
