A Gold Experience

If there’s one thing that the anime Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure never lets us down with, it’s awesome opening themes. Each part has one (or more) blood pumping, awesome openers that express differing emotions, from Phantom Blood’s heroic “So No Chi No Sadame” to the no-hold-barred-beat down tone of “Stand Proud”. One of my personal favorite themes, however, comes from Golden Wind, and that’s Coda’s “Fighting Gold”.

It was something of a fight song for me in 2019, and in 2020 as well. What makes this such a “positive” song? Well, it’s not upright and happy, but it does one thing for me: strengthens my resolve.

That’s worthy of a spot on a positive list, right? As a side note, you don’t need to be a fan of Jojo’s in order to “get” this song. In addition, I’ll be going off of the English translation of the lyrics, as this song’s originally in Japanese.
